Oh the way home... Nothing bad happened. Just a lot of driving across Canada and the Northern USA.
We made a stop along the Southern part of Calgary and got some great burgers and fries. Jordan had her first milkshake (or one of her first).
The drive was what you would expect across the continent. There were some nice colors in the grass though.
We made a point of finding nice playgrounds along the way to break up the long drives. We collapsed the number of drives days down and did less days with longer drives. This may have been a mistake for Jordan. We found Bagley park with Robin's Garden at its front. That seemed like it was made for Jordan and Anjuli since they are Jordan and Anjuli, Robin middle name, Bagley last name.
Unfortunately, we saw some nice sunsets on our drives (driving too late).
On our last stop, we cleaned out the tanks and actually got them to read empty!!! We crossed the border into Vermont pretty late in the day and got to see the last sunset of our trip as we drove the last hour or so through Vermont and arrived home safely.
We added more photos to the basement playroom photo wall (and had to remove some). We filled in our state/Canadian map on the RV along the way. Jordan has made a lot of progress in her short 3.5 years. From this trip:
24 new states and 7 new provinces.
19 USA and 7 Canadian National Parks.
6 photo books, each being 100 pages, approximately 1000 favorite photos between the 6 books.
16,000 towing miles.
74 campgrounds.
2 hours of family trip videos, even at the sped up speed.
20.5 weeks away for the year combining the two halves!
The trip of a lifetime.
Shortly after we got home, the Northern lights said bye to us at home over the RV. We got home in time for the Vermont Fall foliage and apple cider/donuts. Jordan headed off to her first day of preschool a few days after we got home, using her hiking backpack. She is all grown up now :P .
