After our 5 nights at the East Glacier KOA, we moved to the West Glacier KOA...

On the way, we had some time to waste until check-in so we stopped at the Goat Lick Overlook and Bruce made some burgers and we set up in the parking lot.

The next morning, we were out the door and driving before 5am to make sure we could get a parking spot at Logan Pass to start the Highline Trail. We were successful. Jordan was still napping when we got there so we took the time to take some sunrise photos and organize for the hike.

Once she was ready, we loaded her in the carrier and were off! We needed to make sure she was secure for the drop off ledge part of the hike with the grab cable. The cable wasn't necessary to do the hike, but it was nice that it was there. We saw a mountain goat along this portion with nice views overlooking Going-to-the-sun road.

Most of the trail was still along a steep hill, but not a complete drop off, like the beginning. The views were amazing everywhere.

Jordan decided to hop out of the carrier, luckily at a relatively safe area of the hike with no real danger of falling. She took some photos and did some modeling.

After a while, we all stopped for lunch with an amazing view. PB&Js all around.

After lunch, we loaded Jordan back up to continue onward. Bruce, Anjuli, and Jordan decided to take the offshoot trail up to the Grinnell Glacier Overlook, which was very steep, but very worth it. Jordan took a nap on the way up, but woke up with the super gusty wind at the top.

Grammie and Papa went ahead to the Chalet, where we all met up after the overlook.

From there, it was all downhill to the other end of the trail. Anjuli ran ahead down the hill to catch the shuttle back up to the car so she could bring it back down by the time everyone else arrived at the end, which worked out well and saved us about an hour of post-hike commuting, which was well appreciated after the long 14 mile hike (including the extra 2 miles for the overlook spur). We heard some thunder and got rained on for a short bit as we hustled down the mountainside. Anjuli got to relax with a view for a few minutes before everyone arrived. We got back to the campground well after 6pm. Bruce cooked up a giant pile of pork chops and we all went to bed early.
