Our first of 3 stops in Olympic National Park was Hoh Rainforest.
We got a great spot in the campground right in the rainforest. We were immediately greeted by a local (middle pic). Jordan played with her bubbles.
We took advantage of the sunny weather that first day and did the Hall of Mosses trail which was super cool. The Tiny Photographer was out again, first time free-handing it. The moss everywhere was amazing and unlike anything else we have seen (except for a little bit like fern canyon). We only stayed here one night since we snagged a cancellation and worked it into the schedule.
The next day was expectedly raining, but that didn't stop the Tiny One in her rain suit. Waterproof boots/shoes for the win!
We moved to Mora campground and spent that rainy day making chocolate chip cookies, only to discover that the cookie sheet didn't fit into the RV oven. They were a bit ugly, but that didn't hurt the taste any. It gave more of a variety of textures from soft on the right to crispy on the left.
The next morning, we went to Rialto beach. The main parking lot was a bit crowded. There was one person who went to turn around and leave, but they must have forgot to put their car in reverse and shot straight forward into a large boulder. This was while we were waiting for them to move so we could turn around and find a spot as well. It was like, did that just happen? Yep, yep it did. Turns out there was a large gravel lot in the other direction that we could have easily fit in, but we had already parked up the street. It was a nice, smooth rocky beach. Jordan can play with rocks forever. We saw what looked like a whale in the distance.
Next, we moved over the Northern coast of the park.
