Next stop, White Sands National Park.
On the drive over, we drove through Roswell and stopped at an alien themed playground, which was actually pretty nice. Jordan got abducted. She also climbed high on that rope thing, but then continued climbing even higher after the picture and had to be retrieved against her will.
We arrived at the White Sands KOA and our spot had to be changed because something happened to the electric post - can't remember if it caught on fire or was knocked over. It was a tight squeeze into the replacement spot, but it worked. The playground was nice. Jordan busted out her baby tank (stroller) and did some yearly maintenance.
The next morning, we geared up and headed into the park. We did a short hike on the dunes first and played in the sand. On the way back, we grabbed the sled out of the car and did some dune sledding. We found out that once you reach a certain weight (ahem, Bruce), you go significantly slower, as shown in the youtube video.
We left for a mid day break and went to Pistachioland, which had good ice cream and pistachios.
Anjuli was debating going back to the park for sunset by herself. Luckily, we decided if she was going, everyone should go. That turned out to be a great decision and led to the Tiny Photographer grabbing the tripod for the first time in the gusty wind. She loved it. The sunset was perfect. It was a top night from the trip.

The iconic tiny photographer shot.
The next day was more low key with a trip to the local zoo. It had a nice playground as well.
