20. Williams, AZ & Petrified Forest NP

After the Grand Canyon, we spent several days in Williams recovering.

This was some down time for us. We went to Bearizona, which had a driving safari in your own car with several blocked off areas for different animals. It also had more of a classic zoo area.

We did the tourist stuff along route 66 and found some great Mexican food and cookies.

We even went to the Arboretum. It was nice to walk around in a low stress environment after the big Grand Canyon hike.

Jordan's favorite was also nearby, Out of Africa. It was like a safari where you ride in a large bus with open windows for the initial tour where they bring the giraffes up. Jordan got to feed them three times on behalf of us - she loved it! Then, we walked around and saw the rest of the animals in more of a large enclosure zoo setting.

The next stop was a single night stay by Petrified Forest National Park. We only did a brief drive through with some scenic viewpoint stops since that was all the time we had, but it was a cool place. We will go back and hike around sometime. Bruce might even bring some water.

The next stop was one of the most amazing days of RV life...
