94. Northern Lights In The Yukon

The road back to Destruction bay was quite bumpy again. This time we had some stuff launch into the door of the fridge, but no bad damage done. Some coke spilled to the floor. We got lucky. We had great sunny weather on the way to the campground on Kluane lake again.

We stayed at the same campground, Congdon creek, that we stayed at on our way up to Alaska. We all hung out at the water for a bit, but it was pretty windy.

It looked stormy in the distance at sunset, making the chances of seeing the Northern lights not as great.

BUT, the clouds actually made the sky more interesting to photograph with the Northern lights. The moon was also out and almost full, which we thought would ruin it too, but it helped light up the landscape and made the pictures more interesting and a bit confusing. The Northern lights were out in full force both nights that we stayed there. It was amazing. Best photography experience ever, aside from Jordan at White Sands... that was perfect and will never be beat. Best solo photography experience (Anjuli).

Sunrise was pretty awesome as well. The whole sky lit up pink and the now snow capped mountains made the area even cooler to photograph.
