Woooo! We made it to Utah, the main attraction of the trip we had planned. We stopped in Green River at Tamarisk. We love the food there every time and the river view is nice.
Sigh of relief... Finally, we caught up with our reservations and made it to an actual destination of our trip. We stayed near Bryce and rested for the day.
The next day we headed out for our first hiking adventure, Navajo Queens Garden. It was a nice, very doable hike for us with Jordan in the backpack. It's a little steep on the way in and out, but it doesn't last very long. The whole middle part was a relaxing walk with great views.
We went back to rest at the campground before returning for dinner. We stopped at a few viewpoints along the way and Bruce made us some great steaks on the mini Weber grill at the picnic area at the end of the road. It is a tradition of ours to have filet, since that was the first campground meal of our first road trip.
The next day we went to nearby Red Canyon and walked part of the short trail by the visitor center. We didn't go very far since Jordan wanted to test out her tiny legs. That was when the tiny hiker was born. She got comments on her cuteness and someone even noticed her little REI pack. The pacifier really makes these early photos, just like the one we have of her indoor rock climbing with one when she was an early 2 years old.

Little punk!
Onward to Zion!
