69. Photo Book Creation Tutorial

We originally used Walmart photo back in the day way before Jordan, but discovered Walgreens photo before we got married. We used this Premium Lay Flat Photo Book for our wedding album and loved it. Before that we just used the normal pages, which were fine, but this is superb. Now we only use the premium ones. They are nice thick pages with a matte finish that feel like they will last forever. Just wait for at least 40% off at a minimum, but you can usually get 50% off the entire photo book including extra pages. Sometimes they will do 60% off of photo books, but it only includes the base book with the included 20 pages, but not extra pages. We tend to max out the book (100 pages) so that isn't as good of a deal as 50% off of the entire book. At the end of the 2024 trip, we got 60% off the base book PLUS 50% off of extra pages (you can use multiple codes), which was amazing since we were ordering three 100 page books and saved a ton. We even got a larger page book at that time to make Jordan's photography portfolio, I think 11 x 14".

In terms of actually making the photo book, walgreens is great. You just upload your photos into a folder for the album and it shows you thumbnails on the left. You can have it hide photos once you use them to keep everything clear. You can drag and drop each photo to the page you want and them have it autoarrange the photos so they fill the page. This was a huge timesaver from how we used to do it with having to size each individual photo to fit. It's easy to add text as well, which we add to keep track of locations.

You can rearrange the pages when you view All Pages. It's just nice software to make photo books quickly. We kept up with the photo books as we went along during the big 2024 trip so we had an idea of how many we would end up with.

For 2024, the answer was six 100 page photo albums, plus Jordan's photography portfolio. Jordan has been asking to look at these already, so they have been a great investment to keeping the memories alive.
