138. Zion Day 2... Canyon Overlook, Grotto Trailhead

Anjuli was awake early so she drove to the Canyon Overlook trail and hiked to the viewpoint in the dark to watch the sunrise. It was pretty awesome. Still trying to learn how to use the good camera. Oddly enough, some of the iphone photos came out looking just as nice/nicer. These are a combination of both.

Once everyone was fed and ready, we headed out on the bikes again (highly recommend bikes rather than the shuttle, less waiting around and more fun with better views all around). This time we did a short hike at the beginning flat portion of the Grotto trailhead towards Angel's landing, just along the water. It was already starting to get hot and Jordan wasn't too interested in a longer hike up the canyon wall, so we made it fun and did a lot of photography. Jordan started wanting high fives as she was taking photos, as she has done before, but after a while today she started just putting her hand out for them without even taking her eye away from the camera. She directed her hand towards one of us or the other, and would only accept the high five from the correct person... somehow she knew. It was pretty funny. Her prize was emmies emmies (M&M) cookies on a rock in the river.
