For the 2024 total trip, our costs were approximately as follows:
Total weeks: 21, broken up with a flight home for a month in the middle.
Towing miles: >16,000, plus more with the truck alone.
Campsites: $9,000. We favored full hookup sites to keep things easy and only strayed from those if there was no other option for the locations we wanted to visit. So this is more of an upper estimate in general. We did very little boondocking.
Diesel + DEF: $8,000. There was a lot of driving on this trip as we circled the other perimeter of the lower 48 and also went all the way up to Alaska and back.
Excursions: $2,600. We expected to spend more on excursions, especially since we went to Alaska, but we didn't do a lot of expensive things. If Jordan were older, we would have done more expensive things like helicopter rides and such things. We mostly hiked, rode the bikes, and went to playgrounds.
Misc tolls, oil change, air filters: $1,000. With such a long trip, some of the routine costs came up for the truck.
PER WEEK TOTAL COST: $1,000

This was a funny moment caught on video.
Jordan: "Lot of money" pulling money out of Bruce's wallet.
Bruce: "Yea it's a lot of money. Can I have them?"
Jordan: "No it's Jordan's" grabbing all money.
Jordan: "Thank you" while turning away.
Bruce: Laughs hysterically.
Jordan: "Here, mommy" handing over money.
Anjuli: "And that's how we do it, baby".
At least she is a polite thief.
