There are many other amazing places, but we absolutely loved these so far...
Utah - The mighty 5 plus even more state parks that are awesome as well. You have amazing views from the beginning of many hikes since there aren't trees everywhere like in the Northeast.
Alaska - We heard people say the whole state should be a national park, and it really is true.
California - Such variety of great places and we haven't even seen most of it.
Arizona - Lots of great national and state parks and fun stuff to do.
Alberta - Yes, not a state, but close enough. Alberta has Banff... and more!
(This will probably expand to top 10 next year once we explore more in the Western US.)
